BMX Frame with CAN-Bus replaces
IEEE-Interface

The IEEE-interface on MAT26x, MAT250/251, MAT271 and MAT281 mass
spectrometers disrupts mutitasking on modern PC's. Therefore, reaction
speed as well as general performance of PC software is limited by this
particular piece of hardware. Furthermore, the circuits for the IEEE-
based boards in MAT mass spectrometers become unavailable.
In order to overcome this general situation, we are developing a new
electronic frame that replaces the BMI, BME and BMF frames.
 

Advantages of the CAN-Bus BMX over the IEEE-Interfaced system:

• component location is less critical
• 2-wire system, no complex wiring
• enhanced diagnostic capabilities
• fast signal transfer for monitoring purposes
• less cabling in the MS as devices interact digitally
